''Carposina epomiana'' is a moth of the Carposinidae family. It is endemic to New Zealand. The wingspan is about 17 mm. The head and thorax are white, irrorated with light grey. The abdomen and legs are ochreous-whitish. The forewings are elongate, narrow, oblong, the costa moderately arched, the apex round-pointed, the hindmargin slightly sinuate. They are very pale grey, irrorated with white towards the costa and hindmargin, and with scattered dark fuscous scales, a blackish elongate spot along the costa at the base and a blackish dot above the inner margin near the base. There are six small fuscous spots on the costa. The discal and posterior tufts are also preceded by small obscure fuscous spots. The hindwings and cilia are grey-whitish. ==References==
